Michael Mann – Founding Partner and President 

Michael S. Mann, age 60, Dallas, TX, has been President, Director and shareholder of the Company since its inception. He is a 1983 graduate of the University of Arkansas with a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology. He is an associate member of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists. Mr. Mann was formerly a registered direct participation representative with FINRA in Washington, DC of Douglas Scott Securities, Inc., Dallas, and was the owner of Kolinar Enterprises, Inc., Irvine, California, a computer consulting firm and marketer in 1994 and 1995. From 1990 to 1994, he was a product specification consultant to the hospital and hotel industries. Michael is an avid bird hunter and enjoys chasing his bird dogs around the high plains of the western U.S.


Jeffrey Mann – Founding Partner & Executive Vice President dad photo

Jeffrey D. Mann, age 63 Dallas, TX, has been Executive Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Director, and a stockholder of the Company since its inception. He is an associate member of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists and a member of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists, Division of Environmental Geosciences. He attended the University of Oklahoma and the University of Texas (Austin). He is the president and owner of Douglas Scott Securities, Inc. Through DSS, Jeffrey is a registered representative and registered direct participation program principal with FINRA. In 2008, Jeffrey founded Hill Country Wind Power L.P., a wind farm development and consulting company. Jeffrey enjoys golf, book collecting and is the brother of Michael Mann.


Wallace Mann – Petroleum Geologist and MinerologistWally

Wallace Mann, age 85, Dallas, TX has been employed as a Petroleum Geologist for the Company since October 1995. Since 1970, he has acted as a consulting geologist and mineralogist. He has been a member of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists since 1957. From 1957 to 1970, he was employed as a geologist by Humble Oil and Refining Co. (Exxon) in New Orleans and Grand Isle, Louisiana. He was responsible for Humble’s working interest in fields and wells where Humble was not the operator including West Delta 27(7 years) with reserves of 6 trillion cubic feet. He was also responsible for drilling (in the late 1960’s) the deepest offshore well in the world off the northwest flank of the West Delta 27 field which added 500 billion cubic feet to the field’s reserves. Mr. Mann was also deeply involved with the West Black Bay (3 years) where Gulf Oil (the operator) was forced to drill several wells on the joint property adding 2 to 3 million barrels of oil to field reserves. Mr. Mann also initiated an outpost well to be drilled off the eastern flank of the field which added several million barrels of oil to the reserves. He is a 1955 graduate of the University of Oklahoma with a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology and received a Master of Science degree in Geology from the same institution in 1957. Wallace Mann collects fine mineral specimens from all over the world and is very highly regarded as one of the finest mineralogists in the world. He is the father of Jeffrey Mann and Michael Mann.

Ken Keltner – Field Operations Manager Ken

Ken Keltner, age 69, Tulsa Oklahoma, comes to Hill Country with 10 years direct experience in the oil and gas business and a lifetime of exposure to the business. He is a 1973 graduate of Texas Tech University with a BS in production horticulture. He grew up in Southeast Texas near the Spindletop field in Beaumont, Texas under the tutelage of a second-generation oilman, his father. From 1992 until 2000 he served as field operations manager to the president of a privately owned oil and gas company in Tulsa, OK. From 2000 to present he has served as a consultant to various oil and gas operators and worked in territorial sales for two fortune 500 companies. Ken enjoys traveling, poker and his adorable grandchildren.
